This accommodation is situated in the small harbour town next to the BOCA from where we take the boats. This hotel and breakfast is included in the price of the weekly package program of whale watching and swimming with dolphins.

The small friendly hotel has mainly sea view en suite rooms, all with a fresh maritime feel. If you want a guaranteed sea view room you can pay a sea view supplement. The hotel was built only a few years ago by the Whale watching company and it's architecture follows the traditional Azorean

style.

Costs and Bookings for Swimming with Dolphins

You will be close to the sea with great views of the volcano. It is very convenient when you come off the water to quickly jump in the shower or take a nap. The lagoon for swimming and snorkelling is a short 5 minute walk away and there are many small cafes and bars in the small town.

Everything is close and the lively restaurant is part of the hotel serving meals throughout the day.

When you arrive food will be available to purchase

and an introductory briefing will be given

the first morning.You will go out on the boats

on your first day.

All meals cost between £5 and £8

and can be taken in the hotel restaurant.

The Rooms

There are en suite twin rooms and doubles with sea views or for a family there is a triple bed room.

All rooms are situated along a main corridor and there is a small outside seating area. Please note this hotel does not have gardens.

There is the option of twin bed rooms, double rooms or triples. All mattresses are very comfotrtable with clean fresh cotton linen

Facilities

The hotel is situated in the local town so it is near to the shops, post office, pharmacy and supermarkets.

There is wireless broadband internet access in the main restaurant area and a small library orf books about dolphins and whales that you can borrow.

There are mountain bikes and kayaks which can be hired. The whaling museum and information centre are a short walk away from the hotel.

Also you can snorkel in the nearby lagoon and sunbathe beside the rockpools. The only quiet park like area in the town is situated in the local campsite where you can relax under trees for shade.

There is a lively and sociable atmosphere in the hotel and it is easy to talk to others sharing the same experience on the water as there is a small and friendly feel. The skippers and team are friendly and very helpful on the boats.
